When Slow Feels Like Stuck
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I feel completely drained—like my creativity has packed its bags and left. When that happens, my business slows down, I start questioning everything, and honestly… I feel kinda blah. Like, “What’s going on?”
If I’m being real, when I’m not super busy, when work slows down, I start to feel YUCK.
But recently, I started asking myself—Why?
Why do I resist the slow down so much?
Why do I feel uneasy when, logically, this should be the easiest time to rest and recharge?
And here’s what I discovered:
I’ve placed so much value on being “busy” and always doing that I forgot how to just be.
To trust.
To breathe.
To allow.

The truth is, the slow down is necessary.
It’s where the magic actually happens.
It’s where energy refills and ideas are born again.
But it’s also uncomfortable.
Because growing up, I was praised for working hard, for being productive. Being busy meant I was important. So now, when things slow down, it can feel like I’m not needed… like what I do doesn’t matter.
I know—it sounds silly, but those old beliefs run deep.
So if you’re feeling stuck or slow, I want you to know:
You are NOT stuck.
You’re just being asked to pause.
And in that pause, there’s power.
Let me ask you this:
Where in your life do you resist slowing down?
Where do you confuse “slow” with “stuck”?
Because slow isn’t bad. It’s not failure. It’s not the end.
It’s actually the space where your next chapter starts to form.
If you’re struggling with this like I have, here are a few simple ways to bring energy and flow back into your life:
🌿 Get outside.
Nature naturally slows us down—while giving us a massive energy boost. It reminds you how to be instead of always do.
📞 Call a friend.
Ask them what they’re most excited about right now. Celebrate their wins—it’s the fastest way out of a self-pity spiral. (Bonus: they’ll probably ask about your wins too, so be ready to share something good!)
🚶♀️ Move your body.
Take a walk, dance, hit a workout—whatever feels good. Movement helps shift stuck energy, boosts creativity, and reminds your brain that life is still flowing.
The next time life slows down, don’t panic.
Lean in.
Breathe.
Trust.
Because sometimes, the slowdown is setting you up for your biggest breakthrough yet!
